Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JFR) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) have announced that Campbell Rob will step down as CEO from the foundation in summer.

His departure will see him take up a new appointment as CEO at Nacro, a social justice charity.

Due to head the group in July, Campbell is set to leave JRF and JRHT at the end of June, after joining the association in 2017.

The new role at Nacro will be based in London, where Campbell lives with his family.

Will Haire CB, chair of trustees, said: “Campbell has led a comprehensive change programme across the organisation, which has put values and outcomes at the heart of what we do.

“He has ensured that JRHT is in a far stronger financial position, and that the JRF has successfully transformed itself into a modern social change organisation.

“He leaves for an excellent charity, Nacro, and we wish him the very best.”

Commenting on his departure, Campbell Rob said: “It is with a great deal of sadness that I will be leaving JRF in the summer to become Nacro chief executive.

“It has been an absolute privilege for me to lead such a brilliant organisation, full of talented and committed staff.

“However, it is now time for me to accept a new challenge, to be closer to home, and for new leadership to guide JRF and JRHT through the next stage of its crucial mission to achieve a prosperous UK without poverty.

He added: “I am delighted to be joining Nacro at such an important time in its history.

“Nacro’s work providing education and skills, relieving homelessness, and supporting people with substance misuse problems and those coming out of prison is needed more than ever.”
